Abstract: Results of new inelastic neutron scattering experiments on rare earth multilayers are explained taking into account main physical interactions that are presented in such structures, i.e., indirect exchange of RKKY and Dzyaloshinsky-Moriya types and easy-plain anisotropy. It is shown, that interdiffusion between two constituents plays an important role in the spin wave dynamics. Dispersive spin waves were unambiguously detected on the application of a magnetic field as well. The results of theory and experiments are in quantitative agreement.
