Choose an article on a topic related to astronomy from a newspaper or magazine. There are many articles available on the web: space.com, astronomy.com, newspaper web-sites to name a few. Attach a copy of the article to the write-up.

In two or three typed pages, summarize the article and identify why the article was written; new result, explaining a pretty picture, new evidence, new theory, someone's opinion etc.

Include a paragraph on why you chose this article.

If we have discussed this topic in class include a discussion about how the article relates to what we learned in class.

Cite the article explicitly as a reference in the write-up, either in the first paragraph of your write-up or in a reference section at the end of the article.
