Course syllabus:

This course addresses all scientific aspects of sound and music. It is a journey from the starting
point where a sound is produced (vibrating bodies), through its reception and enjoyment in the mind.

Starting with the physics of
vibrating bodies and waves...


                                                                           ...and going through the biology 
                                                                           and neuroscience of hearing...

...the course discusses subjects such as
electronics and sound reproduction equipment.


Along the way the course covers musical scales and their basis,
architectural acoustics and
reverberation, and various other topics related to sound and music. Further
