A rugged, sensitive electroscope which can accept various accessories to change its capacitance. A sensitive aluminum vane balanced in a vertical position on a metal support which is insulated from its base by a large, transparent plastic plate in the shielding support ring. The vane is readily observable and can be projected on the screen with the bench top camera. Four attachments, each equiped with a rigid banana plug which plugs into the top of the electroscope, a large and small conducting sphere, low leakage capacitor plate, and an aluminum cup.
