Piers Coleman

DSE Applications in Condensed Matter Physics
Thursday July 26 to Saturday July 28

Piers Coleman has written a textbook on the "Introduction to Many Body Physics", in which he also explains the relevance of Dyson Schwinger Equations for condensed matter physics. He will give a short introduction to interacting electron systems followed by five lectures:
1. Feynman diagrams in many body physics
2. The interacting electron plasma
3. BCS theory I
4. BCS theory II
5. The Kondo effect and eavy Fermions
