We have a new look!!!
Join us on clear Monday nights from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm for Public Night. Anyone is welcome to come by and take a look through our telescopes. You'll be able to see the Moon, planets, stars, star clusters, and more (depending on what's in the sky that night).
Sky Alerts!!!
Did you get a new telescope this holiday season? This article from Sky and Telescope can help you get started!
The Moon is reappearing in the Southwestern sky as a thin cresent shortly after sunset becoming progressively higher towards the end of the year.
Saturn's rings will be the closest to edge-on on December 27. The rings will not appear like this again until 2025.
On December 31, the cresent moon will meet up with Venus, and if you have a good view of the Southwestern horizon, Jupiter will meet up with Mercury. Check out both events about half and hour after sunset!
